The referral link does the attribution
Swagbucks' official route is Homepage, then Refer & Earn. The page provides invitation tools and a personal link. A Swag Code is a different promotion mechanism; entering one does not establish that your new account was attached to the person who invited you.
What counts toward the inviter's earnings
The main referral article includes eligible activities such as Answer, Shop, Discover and Play, while excluding signup bonuses, Swag Codes and various other bonus categories. The advertised percentage therefore should not be applied to every line in a friend's balance. Check the current eligibility list before estimating rewards.
Check the signup promotion

If a friend's name is missing
